9/11 on Fire Island 21 Years Later

Rain showers held off just long enough for a solemn gathering to commemorate the fallen and survivors of the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center as well as other national targets, 21 years after that fateful day. The remembrance ceremony in Ocean Beach, lead by OBFD Fire Chief Ian Levine, last a little under 40 minutes. Similar observances were held in other Fire Island communities, including Davis Park and Fair Harbor. All were assembled in remembrance and respect.
