In the blistering summer heat wave, the Second Annual Seaview Association Basketball Tournament was held at Seaview’s newly resurfaced Bay Beach court on Saturday, July 23.
Five teams sporting shirts emblazoned with the new Seaview logo played their hearts out, took their best shots, and tried to avoid calls by the two professional referees. All 24 players battled for the right to wear home Seaview Championship trophy hats. The Gray team (Benji Issroff, Nate Kuhrt, Michael Laskawy, Daniel Hamburg and Judd Cramer) ended up winning the final game, with the MVP hat going to Nate. Both players and spectators enjoyed basketball at its best. It truly was a Championship Play by the Bay!
