The Fresh Grocer has been a fixture in Oakdale’s Lighthouse Commons for a year now, and they decided to celebrate in style and thank the public for their support by hosting a Fall Fest party. Sponsored by the Oakdale-Bohemia Knights of Columbus, this neighborhood street fair had it all, and all were welcome. There were free burgers, corn, and hot dogs – courtesy of Board’s Head deli meats. There was live music, crafts, rides, raffles, and other giveaways. There was reason for celebration. The anchor spot in the strip mall had remained vacant for several years before the Thompson family opened their doors once again. Thanking your shoppers by giving back is good business.
