Sunday, November 16 Poinsettia Paper Quilling Workshop BAFFA Art Gallery will conduct a Poinsettia Paper Quilling Workshop with Carol McMahon on Sunday, November 16th, at the Gallery from 1 to 3 p.m.. Babylon Village is mourning the loss of cherished resident and beloved Trustee Sean Goodwin, whose unwavering devotion to serving his community will remain within the hearts of his family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, and all who crossed his path. On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Sean passed away after a battle with lung cancer at the age of 65. His light and legacy will continue to enrich the Babylon Village, and he will be deeply missed.

Sunday, October 12 Fall Festival & Mourning at the Manor Reel in the fall with a day of activities at Sagtikos Manor, 677 West Montauk Highway, Bay Shore, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enjoy craft demonstrators, sheep shearing, children’s activities, a puppet show, live music, and food vendors. Featured is Mourning at the Manor, a historic reenactment of a Victorian wake. Join in the reenactment of the funeral procession and meet some of the family spirits along the way! The Alzheimer’s Association will be hosting its signature fundraising event, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, in North Babylon next month. This year’s walk is one of several the organization will be hosting in the Long Island region and is scheduled for Sunday, October 19, with a 10 a.m. opening ceremony at Belmont Lake State Park. Participants will walk or run a two-mile course within the park.
